Mr. Will's 3rd Birthday

My baby boy is growing up!!  I can't believe it has already been three years since my water broke at Zupas when I was out to lunch with a friend and I almost had a baby in a car!  Luckily, we made it to the birthing center and I had the little munchkin in a bathtub instead!  We sure are glad to have our token boy in the family!  And if we only have one boy, boy, do we have the boy for the job!  Will is and always has been 100% boy!  He loves trucks, and diggers and backhoes and excavators and bulldozers and tractors and loaders and rollers and the list goes on and he can name all those different trucks for you too.  Will is rambunctious and loud and wild!  He is funny and happy too.  We love that little boy so much!  Don't let his rambunctiousness fool you however, he is very loving and tender-hearted.  Out of all my children, he is the most in tune with his emotions and the emotions of others.  I don't know how many times he'll just see a facial expression of mine or hear me say something out loud, but to myself (you do that in a house full of children), and he'll ask, You hurt, mom?  And he genuinely wants to make me feel better, which is almost always done with a hug, that he is very quick to give out.  So we love our 100% loving boy!!!

We had to pick up a few things at the shop, so I let them get an ice cream cone.  It's his birthday afterall.
Here's Will and Ava running to the school together to pick up Lily.  They have become the best of friends since Ava only goes for half a day.  I'm sure glad they get this extra bonding time this year.
I was trying to capture them holding hands.

Had to get a picture of this cutie too!  She's adorable!

Let the birthday celebrations begin!! I picked up a Buzz Lightyear costume for Will for Halloween that day too.  Will wanted nothing to do with it, but Ava loved it.  So this year on Will's birthday we had Buzz Lightyear attend the party!  Side note:  I love that sweet little Lily's face in this picture.  Such a pretty little thing!

The first gift he opened was underwear...not real exciting.  But needed!

The excavator was a favorite, of course!  He got a little spoiled this year!
On to the outdoor gifts!  Powerwheels!

Ava, I mean, Buzz Lightyear, now turned FBI agent investigating the crime scene!
 With her sidekick, Agent Sofie!
 More outdoor toys!

Which resulted in an outdoor party!  On a perfect fall evening!

 Will being a boss!

Lily was riding around on that big wheel, it was cracking me up!

After a long time of riding around the circle, we made it back inside for cake.  Gotta love Will showing off his new knickers!

Here's the cake we had for this party.

Happy birthday dear, Will, happy birthday to you!
