Sunny September: Part 2

So remember how I said I was project happy?  Well, I'm still playing catch up on all the projects I thought I would undertake!  Here is a quick easy one that I happen to just love the turn out of.  The previous renters left this dresser behind, so I thought, yahoo, free dresser.  And it just happened to have the perfect look for something I was working on for Will's room anyways.  So I painted it to look like a giant tool box.  I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome!
One project down...a million more to go!
I went to wake the girls up for school one morning and I found this snugly scene!  All the unicorns tucked in nice and snug.  :)

I can't remember why I wanted a picture of the girls at this particular moment, but as you can see Lily wasn't having it!
I feel like my little Sofie baby grew up heaps this month!!!  She started eating solids and also just wanting to consume whatever I was consuming.  Here she is with a piece of roll she snatched from me!

 Just way too grown up!
I'm still adjusting to no school uniforms.  It has been fun to actually buy the girls cute clothes and then have them be able to wear them to school, but I do miss school uniforms for a lot of reasons.  One being, it's a no brainer what to wear everyday.  It certainly simplifies getting ready for school.  But on the other hand, don't they look cute???

There are so many cute and picturesque things around here.  It's so very charming!  Like this charming little house we pass every day on our walk to school.  Isn't it adorable?

There were some diggers at the school one day putting in a sprinkling system or something.  Dream come true for the Will.  He still asks to go see Daddy's trucks.
We also walk past a yard, with no fence, on our way to the school that is full of such fun and exciting things for a little boy!  He just can't resist!
My sweet little stroller rider!  She is so good on our walk to and from school.  There was a day there near the end of September where it got really cold...and I was worried.  But thankfully, it warmed back up!  Phew!

Sofie absolutely loves her siblings!  If she can hear them, she wants to be near them.  Sofie also really loves to giggle now...and her siblings can get her going!

My good friend, Shelece made this quilt for Sofie and I just love it.  I was trying to get a picture of Sofie with it to send her...isn't she so cute?  That face!  She'll get you with that face!

Sofie has always been so content to just lay on her back and be happy....not any more!
Sofie started sitting this month and rolling and scooting!  Oh my days of ease are ending!

We really loved our first September here in Logan!

Sunny September

Wow, September weather up here in Logan was fantastic!!  It was so sunny and warm!  We really needed weather like that!  We've got to store up all that sunshine to get us through the winter!

Speaking of sunshine...look at this little ray!  She'll get us through the winter!

Sofie sunshine, we'll call her! :)
Ava was kind of gutted that you don't wear hats at school here.  Here she is with her hat on on the way home from school.
I got some new runners which helped me to take that leap of faith and commit to the Ogden Marathon in May.  I'm registered so there is no backing out now...heaven help me!

Man, she is looking old!  It has been so fun to play dress up with my girls now that they don't have to wear uniforms to school.
See saw is always fun in the sun!

We always walk to the school to pick up Lily.  Well the kids have never been on a tire swing before and there just happens to be one at the school playground.  This is the first time Ava and Will ever experienced a tire swing and they loved it!  They were both screaming like little girls!  It was so fun to see them experience it for the first time.  It reminded me that its the simple things in life that bring the most joy!

Ava used to do full days of school in Australia for PrePrimary, but now that we're back in the states she only does half day kindergarten and we all like having her home more often, especially Will.  He loves having her to pal around with all afternoon until it's time to get Lily.  Will loves Ava and Ava is a good friendly little thing to have around.

One day at lunch, Will decided to pour oats all over Sofie's head???  Oh that Will!
Didn't bother Sof one bit!  She is such a good sport!

The little rascal!!!!  He's lucky Sofie likes him so much!
Lily got to experience the joy of the tire swing.

 Seriously, best baby ever!
Here's Sofie minding her own business.
 Then along comes steamroller Will!!!

And seriously, it doesn't even phase her!  She is still just as happy as can be!  Sofie was made to be Will's little sister!
These two!  Boy, do they love each other!

It was so warm one afternoon that the kids donned their swimwear to wade in the little Logan River.  Wading in their clothes wasn't going to cut it this time.

 Ava, the mud monster.

It was a beautiful evening...and the last really warm and sunny day.  Then it rained and after the rain it never quite warmed back up like that.
