S'mores

S'mores are so American!  For one, the Graham cracker is exclusively American.  There were no such thing as Graham crackers in Australia.  I went to girls camp and I failed to tell them what a good substitute of a Graham cracker would be, and they certainly have some good biscuit substitutes, and when we tried to replicate them at camp it turns out the substitute cracker that they had bought for S'mores was more like a really thick saltine...can you think of anything more gross?  All the young women were wondering why Americans liked these so much!  Haha!

Anyways, lucky for us, Grandpa and Uncle Neal have a great love of S'mores, and Grandpa has a fire pit in the back yard.  It was so fun to go have s'mores for family night one of the first Mondays we were back.  :)

Grandpa teaching Will the proper technique for a perfectly roasted mallow.

Lily and Ava ready to roast!

Sofie hanging out with Derek.  Soaking up the time with Derek before he left on his mission.

 Lily enjoying the finished product.

Ava also enjoying the finished product.

I love this picture of Grandpa chasing Will around the yard.  He needed to burn off some energy since he kept sneaking all the chocolate!  :)
It was a beautiful evening to enjoy s'mores and family.
