So we made it to Wheeler Farm on another day. A most beautiful day in early September. One of my most favorite mission companions, Marissa, came and joined us with her two beautiful children, Declan and Isla. And Joslyn and her three beautiful girls came as well, as a friend of hers, Jessica and her four children. When Jessica rolled up, I thought, hey, she looks extremely familiar...then I knew right away, I had worked with her at Aspen Grove way back in 2003 and we had even roomed together that summer. What a crazy world! What are the odds?? I thought it was a fantastically serendipitous surprise! It certainly was an exciting time at the farm with all our 13 little people total. :)
First stop, feed the ducks. I totally didn't bring enough bread!
Will and Vienna!!! Awesome!
Chickens
Turkeys
Oh dear, Will found the tractors. The ones you should and shouldn't play on! This is one you shouldn't play on...I told him to climb off right after I took a picture. ;)
Declan thought they were awesome also...I think he and Will will get along. :)
It was difficult to get Will to look at anything else or take turns for that matter. The boy just loves tractors.
It was this little charmer's first birthday!
Oh Will, more tractors he shouldn't be on!
Feeding the goats.
Marissa and me, before she had to go. It was so good to see her and catch up! Seriously, one of the best blessings from the mission is the people you meet and relationships you make and she is definitely one of them!!!
Not sure where Will is at this moment or how the girls got a turn on here with out him trying to punch them out, but they did! Hooray!
Something else with wheels, that will do for Will!
Everyone else left and we were on our way out also, when I decided that I'd better feed Sofie before we left. So we sat down by this creek and of course, next minute Ava and Will are in it. Ava reminds me so much of me sometimes. :)
Lily never joined in...not quite sure why.
It was a fun day at a fun place with fun people!!!
Now just randomly at the end here I'm going to tack on a few other catch up photos. This same week we went over and played with our old next door neighbors, Kaydon and Kalie Whitlock. We love them so much. When we had been in Australia for one year, their mom sent me a message and said that Kaydon had said, "Only four more years til my girlfriend is back." I approve of an arranged marriage for him and Lily! :)
And I was lucky enough to get away with just Sofie one night and have a fun catch up with some of my most favorite cousins, Holly, Tricia Ann and Cassie.
I love and am inspired by these beautiful women! They're all such great examples to me. So glad I got to see them before we headed up to Logan. :)
