Grandma Rappleye has the best toy collection! The kids loved being able to stay at grandma and grandpa's for lots of reasons, and this was definitely one of them.
I tried again on our last Sunday to get a picture of the kids with Grandma Dorothy.
The girls cooperated like usual.
Will did not!
Ava made this darling card for her Australian friends that she was missing dearly, and still does! I miss them too! Such sweet hearts.
And here is a picture of Tallulah, Sonya and Lara with Ava. Aw, homesickness!!
Derek was going into the MTC on September 8th and we got our keys to our house on September 7th, so I thought we wouldn't be here to see him off, so we took him to dinner to the restaurant of his choice. Which oddly enough happened to be Brick Oven, where he worked. I suppose that is good that he works somewhere he likes and it didn't make him sick of it! I had to include all these terrible pictures. Derek is super photogenic and looks great in all of them...us on the other hand, we look terrible!
Turns out we came back to South Jordan after moving all our stuff up there on the 7th since Cory needed to catch a flight to New Mexico from the Salt Lake Airport the next day. So I just stayed with the kids in South Jordan a little longer til he got back on Friday. So we got to see Derek off on the Wednesday afterall!
We left Lily, Ava and Will with Grandma Rowe and Cory, his brother, Brycen and Sofie and I all headed up to Logan. Cory and Brycen drove the Uhaul we rented and I got to drive all alone, with a sleeping Sofie. So I turned the radio up and sang my heart out. It was great!! I got Swedish Fish for the drive in honor of Shelece, my most wonderful American friend in Australia.
Our new home, sweet home in Logan. For at least a year. :)
The incredible backyard!!!
I couldn't be more excited about this!!!
A friendly little duck hanging out.
The fire pit.
A few pictures of the interior.
Cory and Brycen were rock stars. They moved all the furniture that we had, which wasn't much, but it was enough into the house. I wasn't much help at all, as I had Sofie. :/ We finished moving and headed back to South Jordan around 6 pm. Just a few more days and this would be our home.
