Cory turns 30!

After four long months of being not only older than Cory, but also alone in my 30s, Cory turned 30 on April 15th.  What can we say about Cory?  He is just an all around great guy.  Though he may seem a little cranky or curmudgeny to some, he really is delightful company, with a great sense of humor.  Cory is also just a good person.  You know how some people are just good, decent human beings naturally and the rest of us have to really try to be decent people all the time, that is Cory.  It just comes naturally to him to be a decent person.  Though he may be a relentless tease, Lily, Ava and Will all adore him and so do I!

Sorry if you all just threw up a little in your mouth, but I'm done with the corny stuff, on with the party.

Here we are with the ice cream cake ready to sing to the old man.
Here is darling Will ready to eat cake!
Here is a close up of the ice cream cake, I splurged for Cory's birthday and got the expensive ice cream! Five whole dollars for a litre!

Isn't this photo so magical?  Singing happy birthday, complete with actions.

And what's a party without party poppers and sparklers!

The kids sure had fun!  All Cory wanted to do for his birthday was go to a movie.  So we did that the next night, because Tuesday nights are cheap nights at the movie theatre!  So it only cost us $11 a ticket instead of $16!  Isn't that outrageous?  But it was really fun to be out together alone!  It was our first date in 6+months!  I would like to personally thanks Sara, for being our baby sitter and personal photographer for this blog post.

We love you, Cory, and hope you had a great 30th birthday!

Showing Aunt Sara the Parks

So the kids have been taking Aunt Sara to some of their favorite places, the parks.

Here is one of our favorites within walking distance.

 Love these three cuties!

Today we took Sara to see Hammond Park, the best park in town.

Here is the kids favorite bird, who says hello.  The bird says hello, all the kids scream and run away.  Then they come back and they all say hello until the bird does it again.  It's great fun.
 Here are the emus.
And there is a kangaroo way back there, it's kind of blocked by the chain link and you probably can't even see it.  But we did! :)

Then, of course, we had to play on the playground.
We had lots of fun uncovering the dinosaur fossils.

 And climbing on them.

This is our crazy Aussie friend, Alex.

 Comparing feet sizes.

This was a new part of the playground that just opened up.
See, told you he was a crazy Aussie!  LOL, gotta love that kid.

We all had a great time showing Sara around some of our favorite parks.

Will and I also took her to Cory's work to show her some of the awesome equipment that Will is quite impressed with.

Will even got to drive this one!  He loved it!  Every boys dream!  Too bad he won't remember
it!  :)

Aunty Sara Comes to Stay

We are lucky enough to have Aunt Sara come and stay with us for a while!  Yay!  We have all been enjoying her company and the added benefit of having her around!!  Cory and I have gone out 3 times after a 6 month famine in alone time!  The kids have all loved playing with her!  And the fun is just beginning!  We are happy to have her here!

Looking forward to lots of fun things to come.  :)

Every Day Life

So here are some of the random things that were deemed picture worthy around here lately! :)

Here is Ava in Cory's safety equipment.
 Pretty cute, huh?
Here is Will and Ava playing in Will's crib.  They have so much fun together.  Will loves to call her name, he is always yelling, "Aba, Aba, Ada"  It's so cute!
Lily wanted me to capture her eating this popsicle, not sure why but glad that I did.  Cute little diva!
Will's super blue tongue after eating a lolli.

Lily's top front tooth has been sticking out all wonky for weeks, seriously, weeks, and it finally fell out, with a little help from Ava.  They just happened to be wrestling when it got knocked out.  LOL!

Lily loves making instructional videos, here is one of her latest.
