So crazy story... my husband was traveling to South Africa in November and his return flight had a layover in Paris the day before Thanksgiving. When I heard that, I thought, that is almost too perfect, I'm going to meet him there! I was only half serious, but then, it turned into seriousness and pretty soon we had flights booked, babysitters arranged and an amazing place to stay! It all worked out so well, it was meant to be! We were planning a trip anyway for our 10 year anniversary so that worked out! There was a beautiful sunset as I was waiting on the runway.
On the plane, I was so giddy!! I really really enjoyed my alone time! The 10 hour flight felt so short! I had so much fun catching up on movies I hadn't seen, and going to the bathroom when I needed to, I even thought the airplane food was good! I couldn't believe that that kind of living is some peoples every day life! Hahaha.
It was so exciting to see Cory at the airport and hit the streets of Paris! Every view was wonderful!
And the traffic was crazy! So glad Cory was driving!
Love the bridges and rivers!!!
Oh so many many colours of macaroons!
Notre Dame Cathedral! Amaze!!!
After Notre Dame, we figured we better go find this château that Cory's mom hooked us up with to stay in out in the French Country side. It took us a while and we were a bit lost, but we eventually found it and it was stunning!!
Behold, Château de la Trousse in all its glory!!!! Ah-amazing!!! More on that to come!
