Farm Field Trip

Ava's kindergarten class got to go to the American West Heritage Farm on a field trip and see all the baby animals up close and personal.  I decided last minute to go as a parent chaperone and it was so fun!!!

 Will loved getting to ride on the school bus like the big school kids! 

 Here's Ava and all the other kids in the goat group. 

 Will seriously just fit right in.  Here he is jumping in the picture and I'm sure Ava is telling him he can't be in it. 

 Will could hardly wait to get his hands on these animals!

 Will was so careful holding this baby chick!  It was too cute!  The lady in charge was super impressed and said, wow, he is going to make a great father one day! 

 Ava was too afraid to hold any animals herself, so she would pet the ones Will held. 

 Will loved this little chick and didn't want to give it up when it was time to switch stations.  He really is a pretty sensitive little guy!

 These goats were so much fun!  The farmer was trying to help me milk the mama goat... and being a nursing mother myself, I didn't want to hurt the poor thing!  So I just couldn't get it. So Ava goes in and tries to milk it and just as Ava was pulling on the teet, a baby goat jumped past her and it freaked her out, of course, so she squeezed hard and the milk came squirting out!  I said wow, you did it Ava, you milked a goat!  And Ava said, I call it the heart attack approach!  Hahaha!  She is just hilarious! 

 Sofia was in heaven of course.  Surrounded by animals that she was aloud to touch! 

 Oh these baby pigs were too cute!  The lady talked for a minute and then let the children loose.  She said that anyone can hold them, but they gotta catch them first.  Those pigs were fast!  Nobody caught them.

 Two goats started rubbing their heads against my legs!  They kids all got such a kick out of it!

 Will is just too sweet with this baby goat!  We had so much fun and are so glad we decided to go!
