Lily’s birthday

So Lily’s birthday was a week-long celebration this year!  She had so many parties!!  She did turn 5 after all; she’s got to live it up!  On the Sunday before her birthday, we had a surprise party for her at Cory’s parents’ house.  She was quiet surprised!  It was fun because she is all about planning surprise parties for other people.  We made some cute little lady bug cakes out of snowballs.  Delicious!

Then on her actual birthday, Grandma “Cook” and Grandpa Charlie, my parents, were still up at Snowbird so we decided to head on up there since we had so much fun the previous weekend and do all the fun things to do at Snowbird for Lily’s birthday.

Lily did the ropes course, she was very brave!

Some of those things were pretty scary!

We did the bungee trampolines!  So much fun!

Those little girls were so cute jumping in their harnesses!  I mean, really are those not some of the cutest little legs you ever saw?  I did the bungee trampoline and I did a backflip and a front flip and I attempted a double back flip, but I landed on my head!  Haha!  We also did this sling shot thingy!  I don't know what any of these things are called!
Aunt Aimee, who happened to be Lily's best friend for the day! :)
 Aunt Sara doing her flip.

Aunt Sara and Aunt Aimee were there to join in the fun.  We all did the mechanical bull.
Aunt Sara's turn, she did the best out of the three of us.

Me, hanging on! I did get some pointers from a 10 year old boy waiting in line.
Getting bucked!!  I don't think I did the pointers right! :)

The girls played on the bounce house and bouncy slide.  But the most popular ride of the day was the alpine slide.
 Riding up....

...going down!  Wee!!!

We probably went on it 20 times and, boy, did those girls love to go fast!  Even  Will got in on the slide action!
But here he's just hanging out with Grandma, and the chipmunks!!  Look behind you, Will!!!

We had such a fun day at Snowbird for Lily’s birthday!  We went in and had cake and did presents.
Lily's Dr. Suess cake
Yay!  Presents!!  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!  And Aunt Sara!

So excited!  Look at that face!
Oh come on wrapping paper come off already!
 Pure joy!!
Blowing out the candles!  Looks like one stuck around!

It ended with a sleep over up at Snowbird!   Here are some of the next day activities.
Oh how we miss Aunt Sara!!!!
Hiking with Sara and Grandma and Grandpa.
Oh and their barbie dolls!  Haha!
 So high!
 So cute!

Trying to make it to the top.
 Will they make it?
 Ah, success!!
Found a perfect little hide out.

Lily and Ava were in heaven!  They loved every minute!
We enjoyed the pool again before we left.  This time it was warmer!!!  So even Will got in.

Lily on the noodle.  Look at her face???
Man, he loves to splash!  Sara's wishing she wasn't holding him right now!  She wanted to keep her hair dry, HA!
 Ava hanging out.
Grandpa trying to spray Lily with the noodle.  Don't get blinded by the whiteness!  Haha, just teasing, Dad!
 Lily coming to get Grandpa.

So much fun!!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for letting us come and enjoy your time share!

Time to go!  Sadness!

Lily ended her birthday week with a friend’s party.  Oh my goodness!  Those are overwhelming!  I’m glad that I have decided to only do friend parties when they turn 5, 10 and 16.  I copied a friend of mine on that idea!  I didn’t get any pictures because I couldn’t find the camera, and Cory was in taking a nap with Will (no fair)  so he couldn’t help me.  I left the six five year olds on their own for a little while to look for it and couldn’t find it.  I decided I shouldn’t leave them unattended again, so no pictures!  It was a fabulous princess tea party though!  We had a fancy layered cake with a princess on top and all the little girls were dressed up like princesses.  It was very cute.  The favorite game was the princess relay race.  All the girls had to put on the princess accessories in the box and run to the fence and back.  It was a hit!

Happy Birthday, Lily bug!
