We got up and got ready and hit the Kids Fest early! We had Lily's friend McKenzie with us. Armed with our double jogger, food and extra clothes, we were ready for whatever this Kids Fest could throw at us! :)
We hit the little carousel for Will first thing. The girls were a little big for it, especially McKenzie and Lily, but they still had fun.
Next we hit up the bouncy rocket. This kids fest had an intergalactic theme. :) Mac and Ava.
Then we did some fishing.
Then Ava and McKenzie did some rubber chicken catching.
Lily trying not to touch the metal bar, or an alarm would go off. We all tried it and none of us were very successful.
This was so fun for the kids, they just had all these balls that have handles and you can bounce on them in this huge field.
So we bounced around for a while.
Then we split up. Ava and Will saw this foam pit and Will couldn't stop saying, Bubbles!!! So we had to do it. Lily and McKenzie went with Cory on some big kid rides and then on to the craft tents. We dove straight into the bubbles and stayed in them for like an hour at least!
Lucky for Ava, she had put on her swimsuit under her clothes for some reason...always be prepared! Because you will get wet on this ride!
Also lucky for Ava, this was not a typical Kalgoorlie winter day. Normally, it looks sunny and warm, but it is actually sunny and frigid. But not today, it was so hot! I'm not sure how hot it got, but I had over dressed everyone, myself included, worried that we would be cold being outside for too many consecutive hours in a row. But oh, man, we were all peeling the layers off all day long and still sweating!
Will was in heaven!
Does this not look so fun? Great idea, and the kids had an amazing time!
Loving it!
From there we found Lily, McKenzie and Dad and Ava joined them in their crafting and I took Will to the 5 and under tent, where he had a great time, digging with trucks, playing with fire engines and all sorts of other exciting things. Sofie and I are inside the tent in the shade, Will is on the other side of this see through wall. That's why these pictures are a little blurry. He played here for ages as well.
See totally redneck Will!!
Getting his second wind. :)
We eventually reconnected with the girls after they had completed heaps of crafts to their hearts content.
Here's Lily as a martian in a UFO.
And McKenzie.
And Ava.
We were getting tired, so we hit up the petting zoo.
Here is Lily with one of her many crafts.
I told the kids we could do one more thing before we had to leave, and they chose the foam pit!! Again! This time I tried to get the big girls to go in, and McKenzie gladly did, but Lily was totally opposed for some reason, even though, she was also prepared with her bathers on under her clothes! Who knows!
Bubble Ava, one last time.
Bubble McKenzie.
On that note, we headed home, all exhausted from a fun filled day at the Kids Fest! Many thanks to all the volunteers who gave of their time and equipment to make it possible for my kids! We love kids fest! The best way to kick of the July school holidays. :)

Awesome post Noelle! How do they make all those bubbles in the foam pit? Looks like a lot of fun and not as crowded as Disneyland! Your picture of Sofia is way cute. Looking like Momma, I think. wish we could have been there.
