We decided to have a quite New Year's eve just with our little family. It was really fun!
We splurged and got pizza. Seriously, a very exciting event!
We did puzzles, going back to my nerdy childhood New Year's celebrations. Loved every minute. Just wish we could have found some cooler puzzles here. We had this 100 piece one for the kids, which Lily and I did all by ourselves while Ava and dad picked up the pizza. Lily was hilarious. She kept saying, "We have to finish this before dad gets back, and then we can say, who's the sucker now dad?" I guess dad must have called her a sucker for not going to pick up pizza with him. :)
Who's the sucker now, dad? :) Mission complete!
Cory and I did a different 500 piece puzzle that took us all night and until 3 pm the next day. It was hard.
We watched movies. We finally got Despicable Me 2 for the kids to see. Will is quite in love with the minions.
We set the clock forward two hours and told the kids it was midnight. Best way to celebrate with kids, they are satisfied that they got to stay up til midnight and we are happy to not have to stay up that late with cranky kids. We did sparklers, and party poppers, and went to bed.
Happy New Year!!! We wish you all a very wonderful 2014! We are excited for the coming year. So much to look forward to. :)

Oh, so you think you had a nerdy childhood just because we put puzzles together on New Year's Eve? Obviously you must have also thought it was a great family bonding experience too, because you are continuing the family tradition! Keep up the good work! Love you!
