The Australian Bush and the Fake Lake

So we have had a lot of rain this summer season and it has created a bunch of lakes where there wouldn't be otherwise.  The other day we decided to go check one out.  It was also our first time getting out of town to just explore the Bush.  We went with some members from our branch and they were gracious enough to let us use their dirt bikes and 4 wheelers. It was a lot of fun!  We also came back with some great Kalgoorlie souvenirs, red dirt stained clothes!

Here is Lily swimming in the Fake Lake, being a mud monster.
Here is Ava having a great time swimming. She loved it the most!
Even Cory got in, in his clothes, then I told him that I had brought his swimming suit.  Haha!
Will could not get enough of this squishy, red mud!

 Sweet little Ava.
Even I was getting into it.

Will kept putting mud over one eye.  I washed it off so many times, but he kept putting it right back.

Does he not just look like a cute little puppy?
Here is Ava on the 4 wheeler, she wouldn't ride it for real though because she is kind of a scaredy cat.  But Lily and Will had lots of fun riding around on it!
It was a pretty fun little outing to the bush and it was seriously only a kilometer out of town!  So that was nice! We'll have to go out again sometime.

  3. Oh no, does that mean Dave's outing to the sand dunes is no longer Lily's best day ever?
Love seeing how life is going for you down there. Making lots of memories. So fun for all of you.

  4. I couldn't help thinking how much Angela would LOVE that lake! HAHA! Maybe Will was trying to be a pirate since you just had that costume party. How deep was the lake? It looks pretty big. Was there no water there at all before?

    1. Nope, no water in it before! Pretty crazy right? I don't think it got much deeper than 6 feet, but there were some people there riding around on a jet ski and pulling people on a tube. It looked like fun!
