Baby Will Turns One Today

My baby boy is one today!!  I can hardly believe that this year went by so fast, but at the same time I can hardly remember our family without the silly guy around!  A few things about our favorite, squishy little snuggly budzer that we all love! He loves to climb!!  He is a non stop climber!  He will climb on anything that looks climbable!!  All he does all day is climb up on the kitchen table and all I do all day is keep taking him off!  He loves to play with his sisters, especially up on top of Lily's bunk bed!  (Another favorite place to climb!) He loves to laugh and it is such a unique laugh also!  He is such a boy!!  By that I mean, he is always growling, vrooming, arrring, grunting, or making some other very "manly" sound!  But for being such a boy he sure is snuggly!  My favorite attribute at this point!  May he never grow out of loving to be snuggled!  Will also loves to eat!  He can pound watermelon and hot dogs (and every other food in between) like you wouldn't believe!!  Last on the list is his newly acquired skill of going down slides!  He loves them!  Who knew Will would dare to go down a slide all by himself before his big sister, Ava would?  Haha! We all love the kid and are so happy to have him as a part of our family! 

To celebrate this exciting day, we had a birthday bash for him on Sunday. 

He started with a manly and hearty steak dinner.

While waiting for the party to begin, Will fell asleep!!!  So when the guests all arrived and it was present opening time, he was a little out of it!  Good thing he has some older sisters and cousins to help out!

 This one is my favorite, it really captures the chaos and bombardment!  LOL!

 But we were glad for the help, because as you can see, Will just sat there! 

He started perking up near the end.

 Here is the masterpiece that I made for him.  I'm not sure how good of a gift is was for him since I completely neglected him for two weeks to make it, but I'm hoping he'll forgive me and get lots of good use out of it! 

 Next up was the cake, I decided to stick with the car theme, and attempted this cake.  Cory saved it, when I was ready to give up on it!  So it turned out great, with Cory's help! 

I don't have any picture of the candle blowing, that's how lame I am!  I think Cory does on his phone, but I didn't want to wait to get it from him to post this!

But wait, he needs ice cream too!  So I gave him a scoop, but he insisted on keeping the scooping spoon for his own use!

Even though he was a sleepy little guy, it was still a pretty fun first birthday party!  We were so glad we could share it with so many loved ones!
