First Day of School...Again!

I sure feel like we have done a lot of first days of school.  Lily had her first day of kindergarten in August 2012, then we moved to Australia and Lily and Ava both had their first day of school in February 2013.  Then the girls had the next years first day of school, February 2014.  Then we moved to Logan and the girls are having yet another first day of school in September 2014.  So we have definitely done this more often than the norm.

Now school at Woodruff begins at 7:55 am!!  Sheesh, that is early for us!!  So on this first day, we were struggling to get ready in time and look decent.  Plus, Ava's bangs were acting up, I didn't have time to straighten them, so I tried to loom band them back, but that wasn't working either and so the hair do just morphed from bad to worse, and then it was time to go.  So I just left it.

All ready to go.

Lillian Rowe, first day of second grade, Woodruff Elementary School, September 14, 2014.
 She sure does look old!
Ava Rowe, first day of kindergarten, Woodruff Elementary School, September 14, 2014.
Not only was her hair not cooperating, but neither was her smile.
Or her shoes!  She insisted on wearing those, with socks!
So when I went in to the office to turn in some paperwork when I dropped them off, the office lady said, oh, sorry, I forgot to tell you yesterday when you registered them that today is picture day!  Nooooooo!!!!  LOL!  So we opted for retakes, when Ava's pictures came back looking very similar to this one!

 Oh, my little school girls!
We walked to pick up Lily after school.  I found this shortcut to the school.  We passed this funny fish mailbox on the way.  The kids thought it was pretty funny.

Then when we got home we did some playing in the backyard.

 We love this backyard!!

And here are the girls enjoying yet another cookie delivery!  Great way to end the day!

Campfire and More!

So after I had seen the house on Tuesday, I shopped on ksl for lots more furniture before that Saturday when we moved up for good.  I found this adorable little table and chairs that I knew would be perfect in our breakfast nook.  I couldn't love it more!
I also couldn't love my view from the breakfast nook window more!  Good morning!!!
Had to get a picture of Cory's new very impractical purchase, his monster truck as Will calls it.  This thing is so lifted!!!  But that's alright, we acknowledge his short man syndrome and mid-life crisis and love him anyway!

Man, oh man, does this little boy love "that baby" or "this baby"  He's always saying, I hold that baby??  I hold this baby??

Love this Sofie face!!  She's like come on mom!!  But despite her face here, she really adores this wild Will!  They're going to be great pals!

That first Monday we went and registered the girls for school.  Here they are outside their new school.   Woodruff Elementary School.

That night we decided to try out our fire pit.  We roasted hot dogs for dinner and then marshmallows.

Will is all boy.  Pyro maniac!

Ava made us a lovely sign for the evening.  It says, Kapfir (campfire)

 That mallow looks perfect!!
It was a nice evening.  I think the fire pit will be a big hit next summer.  :)

Settling In and Exploring the Neighborhood

So we weren't even in our house for 24 hours before we got our first cookie delivery!  And since then we've gotten like 5 more!  Gotta love Utah for that, right??

 They were super tasty too!!
Enjoying the back yard some more.

So our backyard has the little Logan River running through it.  Then if you cross a bridge you're suddenly in the city park, complete with a fishing and duck pond.  Then across the street are two more play grounds and the city zoo.  It is fantastic!

So that first Sunday there we headed across the bridge to check out the neighborhood.

Feeding the ducks.

It is so pretty here!!!  I am overwhelmed by the beauty of Northern Utah every time I step outside!!!

I mean, seriously!!  Look at this place!  This is the beauty I was always homesick for in the Australian outback!

On to the playgrounds...Lily loves these things!  And I don't know how she does it!  She can just spin and spin and spin.  I would puke!

Ava wanted a sidekick, so I said I would be it.  Man, she was really rocking that thing!

Decided to try Sof out in the swings.  She loved it!  Forgive my 200 or so pictures of her first swinging experience, I just thought it was so adorable!!!

 One of Will...
 Okay, now back to Sofie!

We ventured to the play ground across the street and it was pretty great also.  This is the only picture I took however.  Just having too much fun!
Needless to say, we love our new neighborhood!!
