October 2016

Let's face it, I did a horrible job journaling and blogging last year.  It was terrible, and as much as I hate to just skip over and carry on, if I don't do that I will also do a horrible job this year!  And I don't want that to happen! How often do we do that?  Let our past hold our future hostage!  I know I do, and not just with something as silly as blogging!  So here's to wrapping up 2016 and moving onwards and upwards with 2017.

Here are a few highlights from October.

Here's Sofie just chillin'!  Haha, she is too cool.
The kids made this homemade tetherball. I just love their creativity.

This was breakfast in Ava's classroom to celebrate literacy.  We read a story and ate muffins.
Devin and Joslyn were running the SoJo half marathon and they even dressed up to make it fun!!  And somehow they talked me into doing it, even though I was super out of shape and hadn't trained at all!!
I finished and even under 2 hours.  Its amazing what the mind can make the body do!  I was sure glad I did it!  Great race with great people.
 Bubble beards never get old!
I happened upon this scene in my living room one evening!!!  I don't know if I can do this technology saturated world parenting!!  It is a challenge!!
The annual pumpkin walk with some of our best friends was a hit on fall break.

 Ava Potter
 Genie Will
It is an incredible free event run completely by volunteers.
Its awesome and the scenes are impressive.

That same day we headed down to the Salt Lake Area because my baby sis had just moved back to Utah!!  Yay! And we headed to see the witches at Gardner Village.  So much Halloween fun!

 Here's the whole group.
Then we got to play with cousins longer. These two!
The next day we had more cousin fun.  We made haunted gingerbread houses.

Then we all tried to go to the pumpkin patch...but we ended up at the wrong one, there's like one on every corner around here!  LOL, kidding, I'm the one who didn't pay attention to the address!  So we just headed home as they were closing anyway!
