July 4th

It was fun to be back in America for Independence Day again!  The celebrating started on July 3rd.  We went and watched the fireworks from the Freedom Festival.  My parents and Sara and Neal came with us.  It was a pretty good firework show.
Sofie really enjoyed her first real firework show.

 First thing in the morning, we headed across the street to the Logan Cruise in.  It was lots of fun and lots of great cars! I think Dad really enjoyed it.

 We went swimming in the afternoon and had a bbq.  Then my family had to go.  It was great to spend the weekend with them.  We are so glad they came up to celebrate independence with us.  We did have ice cream cones before they left though.  Here is Sofie sharing with Cory.  So cute!

 These kids were pretty amazed and obsessed with pop its!  Even Sofie could do them.  So much fun!

 We got some of the cheapest of cheap fireworks from Macey's.  These tanks were totally a bust, however.

 Our grand finale!  Hahaha!  Pretty pathetic! But it was perfect for us!  We had such a lovely time celebrating our nation being in our nation!  It's good to be back!
