Missing Ava

Cory's sister, Kelli, had her third baby on June 5th.  So Ava went down to Kelli's house with Grandma to see the baby and pick up the other kids.  Since Ava loves McKinley she spent a few days at grandma's house with McKinley.  We sure missed her a lot around here.  Lily cried all the way back up to Logan she missed her sister and best friend so much.  Those two are rarely apart.  And Ava loves Lily no matter how Lily behaves or treats her (which, unfortunately, like most sisters isn't always the nicest)  Ava is one of the purest examples of charity and Christ like love to me in the way she loves Lily.  I learn from her example every day.

Without Ava, Will and Lily were able to bond.  Here they are building some lego trucks.

 This is Sunday after church, just relaxing on our deck.  It was such a beautiful day.

 We went swimming...but like I said, it just wasn't the same without Ava.

It is always interesting to me how one less can make so much of a difference.  Each child brings a different spirit and dynamic and I am sure glad for the dynamic Ava brings to our family.  We sure are glad she was only gone for 3 days!

Family Week

Aimee and her family came out the first week of June.  Cory also left for South Africa the first week of June so I dropped him off at the airport and decided to stay the week in South Jordan so I could get as much Aimee and Ronald time as I possibly could.

 We stayed at my parents house.  Here is Sofie loving this little chair just her size.

 We hung out at Liberty Park with Aimee and Ronnie and Joslyn and her girls on Monday.  It was so much fun!  We were so ready for summer to begin!

 Wednesday night was the night the whole family could get together. We had a lot of fun eating and singing karaoke at Angela's house.

 The kids were awesome at karaoke...Ava is really feeling it with the guitar here...her mullet style haircut only adds to the awesomeness!

 Aimee came to do my mom's hair one day.  I got to have endless snuggles with Ronnie!  Oh how I love a baby head under my chin!!  It is the best!

 Will just happened to get a double ear infection while we were down there!  He was so cute at the doctors...and I'm kinda glad it happened while we were at my parents since Cory was out of town.  At least, I could leave all my other kids with them while I took Will to the instacare.

 Friday night, Sara, Devin and I went to Lagoon without the kids!  Yahoo!!  So fun!  Here we are on the Colassus.  Classic!

 Here we are waiting in line for the Spider.  It was a super fun night...but it made me sick!!  I felt so ill the first part of the next day!

We ended the week with a baby shower for Aimee.  It was a lot of fun to put on and I think we all had a nice time visiting.  Then it was back home to Logan and Aimee had to go back home to Missouri.  We really enjoyed spending the week with family.
