Kicking It In Kalgoorlie

Here are some pictures of everyday life that has been going on here in Kal.

We did a family night lesson on missionary work.  So here are all of our little missionaries.

Don't they make a great companionship???
So I decided to go to some yard sales one Saturday morning.  There are always yard sales going on around here.  So I found this tub full of duplo blocks and I bought them because my kids love duplo, it entertains them for hours.  Best purchase I have ever made.  Here is the tallest tower they have ever built!
Here is Will watching a show with his "friends"  He is the best to watch while he is watching a show.  He does the best facial expressions.  :)
Here is Ava with her umbrella that she got for her birthday.  She was excited to get a chance to use it.
This little Miss Lillian has been losing teeth like crazy.  Here is her latest smile, after losing three teeth in a row.
Here is Will in a bouncy house thing at a birthday party.  He sneaked in there when all the big kids were eating cake.
Ava decided Will had the right idea and she decided to join him.
Here is Cory covered, and I mean covered, in red dirt after going out bush with the dirt biking crew.
I saw this on my way to get the girls from school one day and it reminded me of my dad.  I love you, dad.  :)
Another show watching facial expression.  :)

I love this picture of Sara and Lily snuggling up together both reading chapter books.  :)

Here is Will walking around with a step stool on his head!  Such a funny guy!
This is at the house of one of the sisters I visit teach.  Will thought he would help her husband out with his hobby. I hope he didn't mess anything up.  Will was in heaven!
Here are a few playground pics of Will.  He is just getting so big and doing so many things now at the playground.

Sliding.
Selling me ice cream, but then eating it himself.  Haha!
 Being a crazy climber.

Here is Ava riding her trike to the park.  We really need to get her a bike with training wheels!  She is way too big for that thing!
Here are the girls at school  I think Lily looks like such a classic school girl here.  Love her!
Sara and I went late night shopping one Thursday night and it was so much fun!  Sara bought herself some onsie jammies because it is so cold here at night.  They are awesome!  I should post a picture of her in them!  Anyways, I scored and bought a bunch of ornaments for 5 cents each!!!  So we are already better off than last Christmas, we just need to find a tree this year!  Anyways, Sara thought this huge Toblerone was awesome.  It was $15, so we decided to pass.  :)

Here are the girls before the Disco.  The girls school do these Disco Dances all the time and this time I told the kids we could go.  They decided to wear matching tutu.

 Love them!
Here is Lily dancing with her friend Sky at the disco.

Here is a very special tower that Lily built.  Is this picture moving??

Ava got invited to a Minnie Tea Party.  She decided this would be a good outfit to wear to a Minnie Mouse party.  I agreed.  Isn't that invite fancy?  The mom of this little girl went all out.  I didn't know that this is what people mean when they are having a party.  I don't think I can do any more parties while we live here, because I am too lame to be as amazing as this mom was!
Here is the little tea table.  Decked out, right?

Here is Ava with the little hostess, Bree.  All the girls got ears and tutus!!  Seriously!
 Here they are chowing down!
Here is the little sister, Amy.  Cute, huh?
 Here's my little Minnie.  :)
We got this little drum set "gifted" to us and Will loves it!  It is just his size!
Cory was gone to a mine site all weekend last weekend and so the girls were missing him.  They made this cake of his face.  Hahaha!  I love it!
And lastly, here I am at a mine site with Cory.  He sneaked me up there so I could see what it was like, so I was dressed the part.  That is just about all that has been going on here in Kal lately.

Mother's Day Tea

At the girls' school, they really go all out for Mother's day.  Both Lily and Ava's classes had a tea time planned especially for the mothers.  Lucky for me, Ava's class did a morning tea and Lily's did an afternoon tea.  So I got to be fed and pampered twice!  It was great!

Here we are at Ava's morning tea.
Here is Ava serving me my cupcakes and biscuits.
And here is Ava putting my mother's day present she bought for me in her backpack.
It was so much fun to play at recess with Ava and get to spend the morning with her.

Then that afternoon, I got to go to Lily's class.

This is Lily and her whole class reciting a poem for all the mom's that they had learned.
Lily's class had a bunch of different pampering stations set up.  This is the jewelry making one.  Here is Lily making me a necklace. They also had a massage station, a hair dressing station and a manicure and pedicure station.  We went to all of them, of course!
Here I am after I got my hair professionally done by Lily.
Here is Lily very carefully painting my toenails.

Wow, look at the finished work!  She's pretty good, right?
Here's Lily just looking cute, and trying to decide what we should wear for the photo booth.  They had a bunch of dress ups we could choose from.
Here we are trying to take a selfie.  Haha!
Lily decided that we should wear witch hats in the photo booth.
Then we got to eat.  Here is Lily scarfing a delicious cupcake.  The food really was amazing!
Here we are after school with all my loot that I got from my girls.  I love them and Will so much!

I'm so grateful and happy that I get the chance to be a mother.  Nothing has challenged me more in my life and I don't think anything ever will.  But nothing has brought me more joy in my life either and I don't think anything else ever will!  I am also so grateful for the mothers in my life.  My own and Cory's especially and all the wonderful grandmothers that I have been blessed to know and learn from.  Thank you all for being such great mothers.  Happy Mother's Day!!!
