Pool Party and Father's day!

We headed down south for a pool party to celebrate Cambry and to wish Aunt Sara a happy birthday.
We had so much for swimming in Grandma Ber's pool.  Thanks for inviting us!  We love you, Cambry.

 We love backyard pools for lots of reasons, but the very best reason is no rules!  We kind of miss our own!

 After the pool party, I got to go shopping and out to eat with my sisters and mom to celebrate Sara.  It was so fun!  We love you, Sara!  Happy birthday!

 The next day was Father's day.  Cory always gets very spoiled by these kids.  He gets the best homemade cards!  This year was extra spectacular!

 I am so grateful for all of the love, hard work and sacrifice of this dad.  Life would be very bleak without him.  We have missed him so much this year with all of his traveling but we sure do appreciate the times when he is home.

I'm also very grateful for the wonderful men my own dad and father in law are.  Their lives are a testament of unselfish service.  I love them both for what they have done for me and Cory.
The plan of happiness is truly a wonderful blessing and the structure of a family, the way God designed it to be, is a wonderful thing!  So lucky to be surrounded by so many wonderful, and inspiring dads.

Summertime Bliss

We love summer!!!  It is such a fabulous time of year!

 We love playing in our backyard!

 This was our scene every Tuesday.  The girls would go to piano lessons and then after piano we would walk across the street to this sand volleyball court just outside of the swimming pool.  We would build sandcastles and eat a picnic until the pool opened up and then we would go swimming.  It was great fun in the sun!

Pool Rats!!  We seriously spent every after noon in June and most nice afternoons in July at the pool.  We love swimming!

Sofie used to protest and throw a fit every time I tried to do her hair.  But then when I realized that they may be the very last baby piggy tails I ever did, I decided that I had to force her!

Basement tea parties are a must in the summer.
