Easter Weekend

We always love dyeing eggs on Good Friday.  Everyone has fun and we also discuss and remember what happened on that day to make it so good.

This boy was in heaven!  He has this strange fetish for eggs! And being able to dye them blue is just icing on the cake.

Then after we dye eggs we like to have egg nose races.

The girls then decorated the house with them.  I thought they looked pretty cute.  But I had to put them away before our house started smelling like rotten eggs!

Now for the event that my kids have been waiting two years to attend, Grandma Rappleye's Epic Easter Egg Hunt!
Here's Grandma giving instructions before the big hunt.

Blank stares are always a good sign!  LOL!
 Sofia didn't waste any time.
 Neither did Myla!

Will got to find orange eggs.

Ava was showing me her eggs, but in this pic it looks like an empty bucket!

Will was so excited to find a blue egg which was one of the fun extras so he got to keep it.

Will with a bucket full of eggs!

These little girls loved these larger than life bunnies.
I really appreciate all my mom's thoughtful work and preparation that she puts into this super fun eggstravaganza!  My kids love it and so do I!

On Easter morning we had a nice relaxing time, enjoying Easter baskets, stuffing ourselves sick with conference morning breakfast and getting ready for conference.

Will, with his spoils.
 Ava with her spoils.
 Lily with her basket.
 Sofia with her basket.

We all had heaps of fun with Will's remote control car until conference started.

When conference started we did some of our favorite activities, Conference bingo and draw the speaker.
I think Ava's drawing was pretty close to a perfect likeness.
Easter weekend was a wonderful weekend spent with family, hearing uplifting messages from inspired prophets and apostles and remembering our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and the endless second chances He made possible for each of us.

Spring Break

The girls had a week long Spring Break end of March and beginning of April.  We had so much fun!  We made lots of plans and did most of them.

Here is our cook out.

This little pyro!

I was cleaning out the car and found this little gem!  I love my kids sweet artwork!
On Friday, we went to the Baby Animal Days at the American West Heritage Farms.  We had been looking forward to this for weeks!  Unfortunately, the weather turned super cold right before! So we were freezing!  But we still had fun admiring all the animals, riding the train, going on pony rides and eating fried twinkies and Oreos!  (which are actually really gross!)

Sofia and I waited in the super long line to see the baby bears while the other kids did all the other fun things with dad.  There was a couple on a date behind me and I just eaves dropped on their convo the whole time.  I felt like I was on the date and I was really pulling for the guy to get the girl.

People in line kept making comments like, we don't need to wait to see the baby bears there's one right here, since Sofia was wearing her bear suit!
I couldn't get enough of these stunning views while waiting in line.

And here are the baby bears we waited so long to see.
Oh don't worry, Will knocked over the partition trying to see the baby bears better.  It was pretty sad how long we waited and couldn't really see the bears very well.  I'm just glad Cory was there to take the kids around while I waited.
We went on an awesome wagon ride after the bears.

The biggest hit of the whole day were the baby bunnies.

Will's bunny kept trying to escape...I wonder why? LOL
No, Will is really very gentle with baby animals, eggs and baby humans.  :)
 Sofia loved the baby bunnies.

I was seriously tempted to buy a few baby bunnies!  They were so very cute!

All and all spring break was pretty fun.  It ended with Easter and Conference Weekend which was great!!
