Water Fun Day

Lily got to go to the Oasis for water fun day again this year.  Years 1-3 go and just play games in the shallow water while the older grades actually compete in swimming races.  I bet Lily can't wait to compete in a race, but for now she will have to be satisfied with throwing sponges and filling up buckets.  :)

Here's the little cutie ready to go.

Here is Will playing on the playground that was conveniently fenced off from the water area, so I just trapped him in there and just went and watched Lily.

Water balloon/wet sponge toss.  Nobody could catch or throw so the water balloon didn't last long, so they had to switch to a wet sponge.

 Yahoo!  Lily actually caught it!

So locking Will in the playground only worked for so long.  Here he is getting busted eating rocks and dirt.

Here's Lily at another station...they had a bucket full of holes that they were supposed to use to fill up their cylinder with water.  I was impressed with Lily's method.  She would drag the bucket in the water until right before she got to her cylinder and then lift it as fast as she could so as not to loose very much water.  I thought it was quite brilliant.
Here is an over under sponge pass that the last person had to take the sponge and ring it out in their teams bucket.  The point was to fill up your bucket the fastest.  Nobody really kept track...it was seriously chaos.  I am so amazed that this school does this and the swim lessons in school as a sponsored school activity.  So much liability involved.  But, eh, whatever, it's fun for my kids.

I think Lily had a pretty fun time at the water fun day.  And it was great weather for it.  :)

Here are a few random photos of Will in this little car thing on the main street.  We just happened to be walking past and so, of course, he had to sit in it for a while.  I didn't have a dollar to fork over for a ride, but who knows if it even works.  :)
He's very serious about his driving.
Here he's making a very authentic sounding car noise.  Such a cutie!

Harmony Day Picnic Lunch

So it was that time of year again, Harmony Day.  Well at least here in Australia.  Have any of you Americans ever heard of Harmony day?  Is it just an Australian thing, or do Americans just not care as much about Harmony?  Haha, just kidding.  I just had never heard about it before.  But now we are on our second Harmony day celebrated here!  I can't believe that we have been here this long that we are repeating things we did last year!  Just crazy!

Anyways, here are some pictures of eating a picnic lunch with the girls at school.  I just love both my girls so much and what kind and caring little girls they are.  They were both very concerned about making sure their friends whose parents couldn't make it felt welcome eating with us.  They were also both very generous about sharing the goodies I brought them.  They are sweet hearts.

We picked up Ava from her class and went and ate over by Lily's class.  Besides their regular lunches, the girls requested donuts and pink fizzy drink. So that is what I brought.

And a big bag of cucumbers for our cucumber loving boy.  He seriously loves cucumbers!  I think he survives on milk, apples, cucumbers and chips.  There could be worst diets.
Ava enjoying her pink sprinkle doughnut.

There's all three...not sure what they are doing in these photos, but neither of them is very decent.
Will found a nice place to just lounge and stuff his face with cucumbers. What a life!

 Playing on the playground.
After we were done eating and playing by Lily's classroom we headed back over to Ava's.  Will was in heaven.  He could play with these trucks for as long as he wanted and didn't have to be torn away from them.

I was trying to get a photo of Ava and Sonya, and Ava put this baby doll up right in front of her face as I took the picture!  Haha.
Here is Ava with some more of her friends.  Sonya, from Thailand, Lara from the Czech Republic, Tallulah Mae from England and Ava the American!  Can you believe what a culturally diverse place we live in?  They are all so cute!!!
Will trying to get in one last play on the equipment before it was time to go.
It was fun to go eat lunch with the girls and get in Harmony.  :)  This year, they combined Harmony day with anti-bullying.  I thought it went together well.  So one of Ava's friends got an extra anti bullying bracelet and he gave it to Ava.  Which was nice.  Well a little while later, Ava came back, quite upset becauase another boy in her class took the bracelet from her claiming it was his.  I thought it was a bit ironic that Ava had been bullied into giving up her anti-bullying bracelet!  Haha!

All in all it was great picnic lunch.

March Madness

March was a pretty busy month.  School was in full swing and all of my nesting projects were well under way.  Here are some photos from the month.

We went and saw our favorite kangaroo again.  He is such a friendly little thing.
Will and I are the best of friends.  We spend all day every day together.  I hope he doesn't get to upset when the new baby joins us...but I sure have been glad for the one on one quality time I've gotten with the boy for the past two months.  I love him!

Here is a picture of Will at one of the many parks we visited this month.

I buy a lot of things from the used Kalgoorlie Buy and Sell Facebook page. So a lot of times I drag all my kids across town to pick up a good deal on pillows or whatever it may be.  We stopped at Macca's on the way home once when they were all shoeless and looking homeless!

They thought it was pretty great!
Every day when we drop Ava and Lily off at school we walk past this sand pit with amazing trucks in it.  I can never get Will to just walk right past.  I am usually at school drop off 15 minutes or more after the bell rings because I can't get Will to walk away.  Some days he'll eventually be talked in to leaving, but unfortunately most days I have to drag him away kicking and screaming.

He could probably play there all day until school pick up if I let him!
In the midst of all my nesting, I got ahead of myself and gave away our fabulous floral print couches (puke!) and while I was happy to see them go, it was a little premature since we still haven't found anything great to replace them with!  So we only have one three seater couch in our lounge room at the moment!  Hopefully we'll find the sectional of my dreams for really cheap soon!  Haha!
Here are a few pics of the girls mucking around (as they call it here, like goofing off) after school.

This is Ava on school picture day.  I didn't order any school photos...it almost makes me feel like a bad mom, but they are so expensive and so worthless in this digital age!  Plus, they're in their school uniforms!  Like I want to pay a fortune for them in a picture in those!  Haha, it's alright, judge me if you must, I'm a cheapskate!
 More mucking around.

I was taking this picture before school on Lily's school photos day, and both girls sneezed right when I took it!  Haha!
 That's better.
See there you have it, a school photo of Lily.  :)
Will and I tried out this park when we had some time to burn before a doctors appointment.
Will loved this slide, but he wanted me to go down it too.  Which I did over and over again, but I couldn't believe how much my pregnant girth hurt my feet as I climbed up the skinny ladder rungs!  Oh dear!  I'm getting old.  :)

This one is my personal fav!  Not even sure why this kid was naked at the moment.  He does take off his diaper quite frequently these days, but he was naked and then he found these boots and had to wear them.  This picture is so priceless because of his face!!  Love it!
At least something good came of it!  :)
Here is the first of my baby projects complete.  It didn't turn out as awesome as I thought it would, but hey, it' finished.  :)
Here's another baby project.  So much fun going to girly and pink!!  Even better that Cory did most of the painting!

Here it is somewhat completed.  We love it!
One last park pic of Will.  I think he looks so big in this picture!  Where did my baby boy go??

And that completes our March madness!  It was a great month!
